Create a clear classroom and room list
Identify activity-room floors, cleared tables, accessible surfaces, washroom fixtures and supporting office or staff rooms. Give each room its own requested tasks rather than assuming one classroom list fits the whole centre.
- Classroom and activity-area floors
- Cleared tables and agreed accessible surfaces
- Child and staff washroom fixtures
- Entry, office and staff-room areas
Keep centre responsibilities visible
Toys, learning materials, personal belongings and sleep equipment need specific instructions. Identify who handles them and which items are proposed for cleaning; none is automatically included because it sits in a classroom.
Bring the operator’s requirements to the discussion
Note product or surface restrictions and any requested disinfection tasks for separate assessment. The centre’s policies remain important; a cleaning checklist does not replace them or establish a health guarantee.
Plan the pickup-to-arrival handover
State last-pickup and first-arrival times, any rooms still in use and the permitted entry route. In a shared Surrey property, include the building’s requirements as well as the centre’s own routine.
Send property details, not children’s records
Room types, approximate area, washroom counts and staff responsibilities are useful. Children’s names, images, attendance information and security codes are not needed for the initial enquiry.
